There was constructive dialogue on a number of key themes including the decline in oil and commodity prices and the knock on impact on emerging market currencies and economic growth. Infrastructure development, agriculture and power on the African continent were also key areas of discussion. The PIA was once again encouraged by the constructive dialogue with the institutions, who expressed their willingness to engage with the PIA as a key representative of the private sector in Africa. The PIA is seen as an insightful private sector sounding board as well as providing useful on the ground feedback of doing business on the continent.
