From 15-17 November 2016, the PIA executives held meetings with the Tanzanian Government and international institutions.

From 15-17 November 2016, the PIA executives held meetings with the Tanzanian Government and international institutions.

The group met with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Minister of Works, Transport and Telecommunications, and the Minister for Industries, Trade and Investment. Further institutions included the Tanzanian Private Sector Forum (TPSF), Tanzanian Investment Center (TIC), the Capital Markets and Securities Association and the Tanzanian Ports Authority. Briefing sessions at Stanbic Bank, the IMF regional representative office, the World Bank office, and a meeting with the EU delegation and several ambassadors were instructive in gaining a broader understanding of the economic realities on the ground. In the agricultural space, the PIA liaised with the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT).
