PIA meeting with the Zambian delegation

On 17 February, on the occasion of the AU-EU summit, the PIA members had the chance to meet with the Zambian delegation composed of Hon. Situmbeko Musokotwane, MP and Minister of Finance and National Planning and Mr. Mukuli Chikuba, Permanent Secretary - Economic Management and Finance, Ministry of Finance.

They discussed the economic outlook and challenges, finance reforms, fiscal policy, decentralization, agriculture, and integrated value chains in particular, which remains a topic of key interest to the PIA. Moreover, they discussed Zambia’s role as an intra-regional hub, being land-linked to eight bordering countries, especially in the context of the AfCFTA - African Continental Free Trade Area.
